Editor's note

The Coastal Plain Area Economic Opportunity Authority, Inc., was designated by the board of commissioners of the county in the years 1965, 1968, and 1973 to provide services and self-help opportunities to low-income citizens pursuant to the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. The Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 and the Office of Economic Opportunity have been replaced by the Community Services Act of 1974 and the Community Services Administration.
